The problem

Companies invest in retention blind: they only learn why someone left at the exit interview, when there is nothing left to do about it.

  • High turnover with no understanding of the cause
  • Employee feedback only on the way out — far too late
  • Fear that answers are not really anonymous
  • Engagement nobody measures continuously
  • Leaders with no data to act on the workplace climate
The solution

How Loyvox solves it

Loyvox runs eNPS fully anonymously (recording no IP and no identification), calculates the score automatically and lets you track engagement by team over time.

How to calculate

Formula

eNPS = % Promoters − % Detractors (among employees)

The same logic as NPS, applied to the question "on a scale of 0 to 10, how likely are you to recommend this company as a place to work?".

Step by step

1

Classify the answers

Split the scores into promoters (9-10), passives (7-8) and detractors (0-6).

2

Work out the percentages

Divide the number of promoters by the total number of respondents, and do the same for detractors.

3

Subtract

The percentage of detractors is subtracted from the percentage of promoters.

Worked example

Hypothetical example, for illustration only

Imagine 40 answers from employees:

  • 24 people answered 9 or 10 (60%, promoters)
  • 8 people answered 7 or 8 (20%, passives)
  • 8 people answered 0 to 6 (20%, detractors)
60% promoters − 20% detractorsResult: eNPS = 40

How to interpret the result

  • Because answers are usually anonymous, an eNPS very different from what you pick up in day-to-day conversation may mean the informal talk does not reflect what the team really thinks.
  • As with NPS, the movement between cycles (quarter to quarter, for example) counts for more than the isolated value.
  • Compare by area or by manager using the dashboard filters — a good overall average can hide one unhappy team.

Common mistakes

  • Running it without guaranteeing real anonymity — fear of retaliation distorts the answers.
  • Measuring once, without repeating it in regular cycles to see the trend.
  • Confusing eNPS with an engagement survey — eNPS is a single, fast indicator; a climate survey details the causes dimension by dimension.

Frequently asked questions

Are the answers really anonymous?+

Yes. Loyvox records no IP and no identification on anonymous surveys, so employees can answer in complete safety.

How is eNPS calculated?+

The same as NPS, but aimed at employees: % promoters minus % detractors, based on the question "on a scale of 0 to 10, how likely are you to recommend working here?".

How often should I measure eNPS?+

Quarterly is the most common, with monthly pulses to follow more closely. What matters is keeping the cadence so a trend appears.

What is the difference between eNPS and a climate survey?+

eNPS is a single, fast engagement indicator. A climate survey is broader and breaks down dimensions like leadership, recognition and environment.

Do I need a paid plan?+

No. You create your eNPS survey on the free plan and start measuring engagement right away.
